Write a post about what you love about yourself this week and then add it to the linky list below. This is intended to be a time and place for each of us to stop criticizing ourselves for a few minutes and actually remind ourselves of the characteristics we are proud to own. So go ahead, look in the mirror, and see yourself through your loved one's eyes. Notice the beauty first. Here's your place to shine!

I am mother who takes pride in my son's education.

In last week's post I talked about how I love spending one on one time with my son. On top of taking him to storytime at the library and reading books to him, I have bought several work books filled with skills he will need to know before he enters Kindergarten. I work with him on a couple of pages I day. I do not have to force my son to do pages out of his workbooks. He will come ask me to do pages out of his work books.
The first workbook I bought my son.

He knows his colors, he can count to 5 without help, he knows most of the basic shapes, he is starting to be able to identify letters and the sounds that they make. My son can do more and knows more skills than my friend's four year old nephew and she says that it is because I work with him and that I take advantage of every learning opportunity.

Through my I-Pod, I am able to incorporate teaching my son to use techonology with teaching him skills that he will need for Kindergarten. If you have children from Todder age to First Grade and have either an I-Phone, I-Pod or I-Pad, I highly suggest the TEACH ME app by 24x7digital LLC.

TEACH ME Toddler focuses on letters, numbers, shapes and colors. A talking mouse asks your child to choose the right answer: For example she will say find the letter M and there are four answers for your child to choose from. She then tells your child if his or her answer is right in a kind and helpful way. After three right answers (you also get to choose how many answers for a reward) , your child receives a sticker or a coin (You choose). My son gets excited to earn coins and he will sit in the car while I am driving and play for a while.

The video below shows is an overview of the app by the created.
