Imagination Adventures: Joining the Cricut World

Last year one of my friends bought herself a Cricut and I started to see all the crafty stuff she was doing with it. Then I started seeing Cricut hacks on TikTok and the more I saw all these cool crafty projects the more I wanted one. So in January 2021, I made the leap and joined the Cricut World. 

I grabbed the Cricut Joy for a variety of different reasons. The Joy is compact in size compared to the other Cricut machines out there. It is also has newer technology that allows you to cut vinyl without the use of a cutting mat, but you do have the option to use a cutting mat. While the Joy is smaller width wise it lets you get longer length designs (I can cut up to 4 feet). 

Part of the set-up process is to make a test cut and I chose the crown option from the few pre-selected options. At first, I was like what am I going to do with the crown. Then I idea came to me to cut the word "Queen" out and make myself a wine glass using a wine glass from the Dollar Tree. 

I also have been wanting and to have a special cup made for my husband. So I grab the supplies I needed the next time we were at Wal-Mart I grabbed the supplies need. I went to Pintrest to snag the design I had found and pinned. Then I got to work making his cup. I love the way that it turned out.

I am so excited to be a part of the Cricut world and between TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook groups and even Instagram I am learning so much and I can't wait to try a variety of different projects.
