I set goals and I work hard to achieve them.

Whether it be for school, personal or my business, I am always setting goals and working to achieve them. As a mother of a small child, I feel this is important because I am teaching my child to set goals and to work for them.

This week I want to take part of my What I Love About Me post to spotlight Mary Kay Ash.
Mary Kay Ash (May 12,1918-Nov. 22, 2001) was a beloved mother and is the founder of Mary Kay Inc. She fulfilled her God-given mission with faith and courage, making a difference in the lives of her family and inspiring thousands of women around the world. Even though I have never personally met her she has inspired me and changed my life with her creation of Mary Kay Inc.

Since becoming a Mary Kay consultant I have been inspired by her words of wisdom that have been passed down to me through sales directors and even video and audio that was left from when Mary Kay was alive. Below the picture are several words of wisdom from Mary Kay Ash.

Mary Kay Ash

  • "It takes courage to shoot for the moon, but even if you don't make it, you will land among the stars."
  • “Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.”

  • “Every failure, obstacle or hardship is an opportunity in disguise. Success in many cases is failure turned inside out. The greatest pollution problem we face today is negativity. Eliminate the negative attitude and believe you can do anything. Replace ‘if I can, I hope, maybe’ with ‘I can, I will, I must.’”
  • “Do you know that within your power lies every step you ever dreamed of stepping, and within your power lies every joy you ever dreamed of seeing? Within yourself lies everything you ever dreamed of being. Become everything that God wants you to be. It is within your reach. Dare to grow into your dreams and claim this as your motto: Let it be me.”

  • “We must have a theme, a goal, a purpose in our lives. If you don’t know where you’re aiming, you don’t have a goal. My goal is to live my life in such a way that when I die, someone can say, she cared.”

  2. I love the last quote! You need direction in life. You know the old saying, the path to hell is paved in good intentions? That's how I feel about my life. It's not enough to have good intentions, you need to create a path for your life to reach your goals.
    Thanks for linking up!
